Connect Sceen to your AI

Your ratings, watchlist and not-interested list, read by the AI you already pay for. It can only read, never change, your library. The live connector is for people 18 and older. Want the simplest route, or no AI subscription? Export a file instead.

Export a file

In the Sceen app, go to Profile › Settings › Connect to AI › Export to AI. On Home, you can also tap Use Claude or ChatGPT with your library under AI Recommendations, then Export to AI.

Then upload or paste the file into any AI app. The file tells the AI what Sceen is and what each list means, then asks it to wait for your questions, so ask whatever you like: picks for tonight, stats or charts. It works on any plan, with any AI, and the AI only sees that snapshot.

Who can use itEveryone on claude.ai, including the Free plan. Free allows one custom connector, so Sceen will take that slot. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it under Organization settings › Connectors; you then click Connect.

  1. Open the link below. It opens claude.ai with the name and server URL already filled in; sign in if asked, check the details and click Add.
    Or do it by hand on claude.ai or the Claude desktop app: Customize › Connectors › Add › Add custom connector, name it Sceen, paste the server URL and click Add. Leave any advanced or OAuth settings as they are.
  2. Sign in to Sceen on the page that opens and tap Approve.
  3. In a chat, click + at the message box, choose Connectors and make sure Sceen is on. Older versions call this menu Search and tools.
  4. Ask away. The first time, Claude asks before using a Sceen tool; choose Allow once or Always allow.

Once added, Sceen also works in the Claude iPhone and Android apps and in Claude Code when you sign in with the same account. Set it up on the web or desktop first.

Who can use itDocumented for Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu. Plus is still rolling out, so the option may not appear yet; check your plan. On Business or Enterprise, an admin may need to enable it. Add it on chatgpt.com in a desktop browser, not the phone app.

  1. Open chatgpt.com/plugins, or click Plugins in the sidebar.
  2. Click + and choose Add custom MCP server. Some accounts still show the older label Create MCP App; it is the same thing.
  3. Don't see it? Look in Settings › Security and login for a Developer mode switch and turn it on if it's there. On Business or Enterprise, ask your admin.
  4. Name it Sceen, keep the public endpoint option (not Tunnel), paste the server URL, and choose OAuth for authentication.
  5. Accept the warning and create it. Sign in to Sceen when the window opens.
  6. In a chat, turn on Sceen from the + / tools menu, or just ask.

Best on the web. Whether Sceen then works in the ChatGPT phone app is unconfirmed.

Who can use itxAI's docs list no plan requirement, but the Custom option may be limited on the Free tier; check what you see. Add it on grok.com: adding from the phone app is unconfirmed.

  1. Sign in at grok.com and open grok.com/connectors.
  2. Click New Connector, then Custom.
  3. Paste the server URL.
  4. Click Connect and sign in to Sceen.
  5. Start a new chat and ask.

Connectors are tied to your account and sync to the Grok iPhone and Android apps.

Who can use itGoogle says you need to be 18+, in the US, on a personal Google Account (not work or school), with Keep Activity on and Gemini in English. It's available with Google AI Pro and Ultra; the free tier appears to be excluded (third-party reports), so check your plan.

  1. On a computer, go to gemini.google.com and sign in.
  2. Make sure Keep Activity is on.
  3. Open Settings › Connected Apps. It sits under Personal Intelligence.
  4. Under Custom apps, click Add a custom app.
  5. Paste the server URL, confirm, and sign in to Sceen.
  6. Sceen then shows up in the Gemini phone apps too.

Prefer a terminal or IDE? Gemini CLI and Antigravity accept the same server URL.

Questions

What can it read?

Your ratings with scores, your watchlist, your not-interested list, the streaming services you picked, your age bracket, and a summary of your taste (genres, decades). The tools never return your email, your birth year, or other people's data.

Is it read-only?

Yes. The connector gives the AI read tools only: there is no tool to rate, add, change or delete anything. Account actions such as deleting your account also refuse connector credentials.

Who can connect?

People 18 or older with a birth year set in the app (Profile › Settings).

How do I disconnect?

In the AI app's connector settings: Claude under Customize › Connectors, ChatGPT under Plugins, Grok at grok.com/connectors, Gemini under Settings › Connected Apps. The credential renews itself until you disconnect it there.
